I can remember growing up in Kansas City and everyone knew Rev. Bailey. You could identify him by his car but knew him by the love he had for God. My prayers are with the family and church members and the citizens of Kansas that will miss him.

Still remember the day I accepted the Lord. During Sunday School, Rev. Bailey said, "Do you want a friend like Jesus?" Those words, back in 1965, pierced my heart and I was at the altar. Not until I was up there, did I realize, my brother Peter was standing to my right. Fittingly, I also give thanks to Ms. Bailey, who was my Sunday School teacher. After my stint in exploring the world, it was she who instilled in me the hunger and thirst for the Word. "Read it for yourself", she always taught. It was her example and teaching which sparked a desire to fill the lack of knowledge I so desperately needed. Bless the Bailey Family.
